2012 Trail of Tears 7 Miler


The 17th race, Trail of Tears 7.0 miles, in the Tennessee State Parks 2011-2012 Running Tour was at Red Clay State Park in Cleveland, TN on February 4, 2012 @ 11:00 am. The Trail of Tears 7 miles had a very hard hill in the first mile and the rest of the course was rolling. There was an excellent turn-out from the State of Franklin Track Club 8 members participated in the race. Listed below are the SFTC members.

  • Rhonda Denham from Bristol, TN was 2nd in the Female 40-49 age group with a time of 57:47 and was 32 out of 86 runners.
  • Sheri Nemeth from Elizabethton, TN was 1st in the Female 50-59 age group and was the 3rd female overall with a time of 51:07 and was 17 out of 86 runners.
  • Hayden Borghetti-Metz from Surgoinsville, TN was 1st in the Male 10-19 age group and was the 3rd male overall with a time of 41:11 and was 3 out of 86 runners.
  • Arthur Rickers from Greeneville, TN was 5th in the Male 50-59 age group with a time of 52:57 and was 24 out of 86 runners.
  • Alan Dausman from Harriman, TN was 9th in the Male 50-59 age group with a time of 1:04:31 and was 48 out of 86 runners.
  • Sam Culbertson from Kingsport, TN was 6th in the Male 60-69 age group with a time of 1:10:42 and was 62 out of 86.
  • Tony Borghetti from Surgoinsville, TN was 3rd in the Male 70 and older age group with a time of 58:29 and was 36 out of 86.
  • Bob Townsend from Limestone, TN was 2nd in the Male 60-69 age group with a time of 52:14 and was 21 out of 86 runners.
