SFTC is available for hire to help time your race. Three finish line systems options are offered, plus equipment rentals (see below for details). You can estimate your fees by filling in the information below:

Step 1: Timing Services

  1. All new Timing Services "hire" requests must be presented to the SFTC Board at a board meeting. SFTC board meetings are held monthly. Check the Event Calendar for meeting dates. The Timing Services Application form must be completed by the race organizers and submitted either before or at the board meeting at which the hire request is made.
  2. The initial contact for new requests and questions should be the District Rep for the area where the race is held. Once the request is approved, a SFTC liaison is assigned who then becomes the contact point for the race.
  3. Race organizers are responsible for arranging their own insurance coverage. One way to obtain insurance is through USA Track & Field as part of their event sanctioning process.

Description
Card System $175 for the first 75 participants, plus $1.50 for each additional

 

Recommended for races up to 175 participants. Includes 2 timers, small finish line display clock, race bibs, safety pins, finish cards, chute, age-group baskets, plus staff to operate the finish line and tabulate results.
Computer System $275 for the first 200 participants, plus $1.50 for each additional Recommended for races > 175. Includes 2 timers, small finish line display clock, race bibs, safety pins, laptop computer, printer, data entry, chute, plus staff to operate the finish line and tabulate results. Requires an enclosed or covered area with power supply for the laptop and printer.
Chip Timing System $500 for the first 200 registered, plus $3.00 for each additional. Discounts are available if the race provides bibs or data entry. Please contact your District Rep for further details. Recommended for races > 175. Includes chip timing system, small finish line display clock, race bibs and chip B-tags, safety pins, data entry, laptop computer, printer, finish chute, plus staff to operate the finish line and tabulate results. Requires an enclosed or covered area with power supply for the laptop and printer.
  • 50% discount is given for races affiliated with schools. Note that this discount does not apply to chip timing unless there are more than 300 participants.
  • Results will be posted on the SFTC website and sent to local media
  • Only the equipment listed in the description is included in the service. Any additional equipment required must be rented below.

Note: All rental equipment requests and questions should be directed to the SFTC Equipment Rental Managers, Jerry Robinson at JRobinson0613@gmail.com. Pickup/dropoff is at 24HR Self Storage in Blountville.
