SFTC Long Distance Series: Rules & Awards

2011 Current Standings

The SFTC Long Distance Series was designed to support and promote long-distance races. LDS is not a competition but is a recognition of runners who complete several long races in the area.

Eligibility:
To be eligible for the LDS each year, you must:

  • Be an SFTC member
  • Contact the LDS Manager and request to be included in the series
  • Earn at least 5 SFTC Volunteer Points, 3 of which must be earned through volunteer acts at SFTC-owned or hired races
  • Complete at least 4 races from the approved list of eligible events indicated below*

* 1 wildcard race (not part of the approved list) may be substituted providing that it is 10 miles or longer and proof of participation is provided to the LDS Manager. Wildcard race must be completed on or before date of the BAE Half Marathon race.

Awards:
All persons meeting the above criteria will each receive a *FREE* special award at the SFTC Awards Banquet in December.
