SFTC Long Distance Series: Rules & Awards Rules & Awards

The SFTC Long Distance Series was designed to support and promote long-distance races. LDS is not a competition but is a recognition of runners who complete several long races in the area.

Eligibility:
To be eligible for the LDS each year, you must:

• Be an SFTC member
• Earn at least 3 SFTC Volunteer Points (ie. 3 volunteer acts at SFTC-owned or hired races)
• Complete at least 3 SFTC-owned or King/Queen races that are 10 miles or longer (*see note below)

* 1 wildcard race may be substituted providing that it is 10 miles or longer and proof of participation is provided to the LDS Manager

The eligible races for the LDS are:

• Surgoinsville 10 Miler

• VA Creeper Marathon

• Varmint Half Marathon

• Bays Mtn Trail Run

• Bridge& Trestle 17 Miler

• BAE Half Marathon

Awards:
All persons meeting the above criteria will receive a *FREE* SFTC LDS sweatshirt at the SFTC Awards Banquet in December.
