SFTC Booths Are a Hit!

As part of this year's membership drive, State of Franklin Track Club hosted booths at several major walking and running events. Special membership pricing was offered: for just $5 above regular registration, new SFTC'ers gained the advantages of membership for the remainder of 2014 and all of 2015. The club hosted booths at Crazy 8's, the Tweetsie Trail Trek, the Eastman races, Rhythm & Roots 5K and Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. One more upcoming booth will round out the season.

Special thanks are given to the race directors for allowing SFTC to set up membership booths at their events. In addition, the booths would not have been possible or such a success without hard-working volunteers donating their time. So far, the club has registered 25 families, 24 individuals, and one renewal. That is ninetyeight NEW members! The club also received $45 towards the scholarship fund from two generous individuals, and club merchandise was offered for sale at of the two booths. Revenue from just these five booths is over $1200. Great job volunteers and race organizers! This will help SFTC in its mission to promote running and walking for physical fitness, good health, and sport.

If you are not an SFTC member yet, please look for the SFTC booth at the Pioneer 5 Miles Run on December 20. We would love to bring you aboard! If you are already a member, be sure to stop by, help out, or just say hello.

Join State of Franklin Track Club… and run, walk, and be safe!
