Mary Rodriquez

Mary Rodriquez has been a mainstay on the road for many years. and started runnign races regularly in 1991.   She ran track her senior year in high school, but at that time the longest distance the girls ran was the mile. Her first road race was in July 1984 and was the Midnight 5 Mile Road Race in Kingsport.

Mary joined the SFTC around 1992 and has been running and racing for more than 30 years. She served as the SFTC Treasurer for six years from 2009 –2014, one of the longest stints in club history.


She feels that her most important contribution made to the track club was the establishment of the SFTC High School Scholarship Program, now named the Harriet Locke Memorial Scholarship in honor of her dear friend Harriet Locke who was one of the original SFTC Hall of Fame inductees.


She’s been a Two (2) time Ms. Mileage Award Winner 2009, 2012 and 2nd Ms. Mileage 2021.


She served as Trail Series Coordinator 2016 and has served as Long Distance Series Coordinator for the past seven years from 2017 through 2023.
