Mark Skelton
Mark Skelton is a long-time Rogersville attorney, serving East Tennessee since 1983. Mark served two 3-year terms as the SFTC Kingsport Representative 2006 to 2008 and 2015 to 2017. As a competitor, Mark has been one of the top age group runners in the region as follows:

But Mark is best known as founder, sponsor, and long-time race director of the Skelton Law Racing Series which began in 1999 and is 100% volunteer. Through 2023, he has put on 178 races and still counting. These races have been an important part in the SFTC’s King & Queen Competition, Long Distance Series, Trail Series, Mile Series, and Prince & Princess Series. Skelton’s trail races such as Bays Mountain Trail Race 15 Miler, Laurel Run Ascent 11 Miler, Wolf Run 7 Miler, and Phipps Bend River Run helped introduce many local runners to trail running.
Skelton Law Racing events have won numerous SFTC Race of the Year Awards as well as SFTC Shirt of the Year Awards.
Mark has also served as race director for numerous Road Runners Club of America state and region championship races. He is an RRCA Certified Race Director.
He’s provided legal services to SFTC as needed.
He’s a previous board member and president of Bays Mountain Park Association and is a strong supporter of the park.
He’s assisted with other area races, including local middle and high school cross country and track meets.
